Recovery Is Alive on the Westside: Join Us for a National Recovery Month Celebration!
Another Chance of Atlanta, Inc. and Making A Way Housing, Inc. invite the community to join us for “Recovery Is Alive on the Westside,” a special National Recovery Month celebration focused on recovery, hope, resources, and community connection.
The event will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at KIPP Atlanta Collegiate, 98 Anderson Avenue NW, Atlanta, GA 30314.
A Day of Recovery, Resources & Community
Recovery is happening every day in our communities, and this event is an opportunity to celebrate those journeys while connecting individuals and families with organizations that can help.
From 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., attendees can visit our Resource & Recovery Hub, featuring an indoor resource fair, workshops, and our “Let’s Talk Recovery” Community Stakeholder Forum.
Community organizations and service providers will be available to share information and resources related to housing, mental health, physical health, substance use and recovery services, rental and moving assistance, food assistance, and other community needs.
The Community Stakeholder Forum will bring together voices of hope, individuals with lived experience, recovery professionals, service providers, and community leaders to discuss the state of recovery on Atlanta’s Westside and what our community can do to strengthen recovery opportunities and support systems.
Old Skool vs. New Skool: Recovery Hoops
The celebration continues from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with Old Skool vs. New Skool: Recovery Hoops, along with special guest entertainment.
This is more than a resource fair. It is a celebration of the people who are rebuilding their lives, the organizations serving our neighborhoods, and the power of a community coming together to show that recovery is possible and recovery is alive on the Westside.
Community members, individuals in recovery, families, service providers, advocates, and anyone interested in learning more about recovery resources are encouraged to attend.
