Hotel Vouchers for Homeless Individuals and Families in Gwinnett County
Homelessness is a reality that too many individuals and families face right here in the Atlanta metropolitian area. When someone loses stable housing, the options for immediate shelter are often very limited. Emergency shelters may be full or unavailable, and for families with children, seniors, or individuals with health challenges, the lack of safe housing can be devastating.
That’s why hotel vouchers are so important. These vouchers provide an immediate and temporary place to stay, offering safety, stability, and dignity while longer-term solutions are put in place. A hotel room may be the difference between sleeping in a car or on the street versus having a secure space to rest, regroup, and plan for the future.
For more than a decade, Another Chance of Atlanta has been providing hotel vouchers to homeless families, individuals, and veterans on a regular basis. This program has been a lifeline for countless neighbors in crisis, helping them avoid the trauma of street homelessness.
While clients are in hotels, our dedicated case management team works closely with them to find suitable housing, employment opportunities, and critical resources. This wraparound support ensures that hotel stays are not just a temporary fix, but a bridge toward long-term stability and independence.
But we cannot do this work alone. Community support and donations are essential to keep this lifeline available. Every dollar contributed helps us provide a safe place for someone tonight—someone who might otherwise have nowhere to turn.
Together, we can bring hope, stability, and compassion to those who need it most in our community.
