The Importance of Rapid Rehousing
Homelessness is one of the most urgent issues facing our community. For individuals and families experiencing housing instability, the path to stability begins with one critical step: housing. Without a safe and secure place to live, it becomes nearly impossible to address other essential needs like employment, health, and family stability.
That’s why rapid rehousing is so important. Rapid rehousing programs help people who are experiencing homelessness quickly move into permanent housing, while providing them with the support and resources they need to succeed. This approach is not just about finding a home—it’s about building a strong foundation for long-term stability.
At Another Chance of Atlanta Inc., we are proud to be a leader in rapid rehousing. For more than 15 years, our agency has been at the forefront of helping families, individuals, and veterans in throughout metro Atlanta secure permanent housing. Our dedicated case managers work directly with participants in our rapid rehousing programs to locate affordable housing options, connect them with employment opportunities, and link them to vital community resources.
Housing is at the very foundation of our mission. We believe that once a person has stable housing, they can begin to rebuild their lives with dignity and confidence. Over the years, our rapid rehousing program has helped countless families achieve long-term stability—and most importantly, not return to homelessness.
With the continued support of our community, we can expand this vital work and ensure that more of our neighbors have the chance to thrive.
