Hands On Atlanta Honors Another Chance of Atlanta in 2025 “Spring to Service” Spotlight

We’re honored to share that Hands On Atlanta recognized Another Chance of Atlanta, Inc. in its 2025 Spring to Service Spotlight. This recognition celebrates organizations that show up for their neighbors every day—and that’s exactly what our team strives to do: meet people where they are and connect them with the resources they need to stabilize, heal, and thrive.

For us, “meeting people where they are” isn’t a slogan—it’s our operating principle. Whether someone is sleeping in a car, couch-surfing after an unexpected crisis, or trying to keep their family together after an eviction notice, we adapt our support to each person’s circumstances and goals. That can mean a hotel voucher to ensure immediate safety, rapid rehousing to quickly secure permanent housing, permanent supportive housing for veterans with disabilities, rental assistance when funds allow, food from our pantry on Fridays, or wraparound case management that removes barriers step by step.

Recognitions like the Spring to Service Spotlight remind us that housing is the foundation—and that dignity, stability, and opportunity grow from there. Our case managers walk alongside clients as they navigate documentation, identify affordable units, connect to benefits, prepare for job interviews, or secure transportation and childcare. We tailor the plan, leverage our 30+ partnerships across Georgia and metro Atlanta, and keep going until our neighbors are not just housed, but positioned to maintain that housing long term.

This honor also belongs to our community—partners, volunteers, donors, and neighbors who believe that no one should face homelessness or hunger alone. Your support powers the everyday work that rarely makes headlines: the check-in calls after move-in, the budgeting sessions, the referral to recovery support, the landlord conversation that keeps a door open, the grocery box that stretches a paycheck, and the encouragement that helps a family keep moving forward.

As we celebrate this spotlight from Hands On Atlanta, we’re doubling down on the work ahead. The need is real, the solutions are within reach, and together we can ensure more people have another chance at a safe home and a stable future.
